The Army Service Ribbon is awarded to members of the U.S. Army who successfully complete initial entry training. This includes basic training and advanced individual training (AIT) for enlisted soldiers, or the Basic Officer Leader Course (BOLC) for officers. It recognizes the completion of the fundamental training required to serve in the Army.
